Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe laid the foundation stone for the 508 km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad ball track project on 14 September 2017. The proposed expressway line from Delhi Sarai Kale Khan to Varanasi will run parallel on the Great Noida Expressway over 25 km from Noida, 165 km on the Yamuna Expressway and 361 km from Agra on the Lucknow Expressway among other highways said an official from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). At an average speed of 320 km/hour, it will take 21 minutes to reach the planned Noida International Greenfield Airport in Delhi.
