Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MERN Stack Full Stack Developer to join our team. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications using the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) stack. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of professional experience with the MERN stack and a strong understanding of web development principles.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and other developers, to implement and maintain features.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with external systems as required.
- Ensure application responsiveness and performance by optimizing code and troubleshooting issues.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to project requirements.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix software defects and performance issues.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies and apply them to improve development processes.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a focus on MERN stack development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
- Extensive experience with MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js (MERN stack).
- Familiarity and experience with other Node.js frameworks such as Nest.js, Hapi.js, or Koa.js.
- Solid understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors, such as SASS or LESS, and proficiency in Tailwind CSS.
- Knowledge of GraphQL and its implementation in MERN stack applications.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end interfaces with back-end services.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of best practices for web security, performance optimization, and scalability.
- Proficiency in using AWS SDKs and integrating AWS services into web applications.
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and writing unit tests.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and deploying applications using containerization (e.g., Docker).
Familiarity with front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., Redux, Vue.js, Angular).
Understanding of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Kubernetes).
Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects showcasing your skills.
