Ankit Aditya Pradhan, CEO and Founder of Realty Assistant, believes that women are a valuable asset to the organization and providing them a comfortable workplace is the need of the hour. This initiative is recognized by a leading newspaper, The Economic Times, and an article has been published on their online portal.

In a bid to promote inclusive work culture, Realty Assistant, a real estate advisory firm, has introduced the First day of Periods (FOP) policy, to give relief to our female employees from the physical and mental disturbance they face during their menstruation days.By giving leave to its female employees during their menstruation days, said a statement.

The FOP policy is an initiative by organisations providing a stipulated number of paid holidays to women during their menstruation days to give them relief from the physical and mental disturbance they face during periods.

According to the statement, the FOP policy is exclusive of the other paid and sick leaves which is there to acknowledge the faith the organisation invests in the women employees. As per the company policy, Realty Assistant has designated 12 leaves in a calendar year.

Ankit Aditya Pradhan, Founder and CEO of Realty Assistant, said, “Women are a valuable asset to our organisation. They perfectly don the role of managers and can even multitask flawlessly. We realised the need to provide them with an ideal working environment to realise their potential to the fullest.”

The policy offers flexibility depending on the employees' needs based on the options whether they want to work from home or want to stay in the workplace under circumstances which encourages the comfort of the employee. In this case, employees are entitled to a maximum of 6 paid work from home per calendar year (pro-rata, non-cumulative) in the event of inability to perform work duties because of menstruation and menopause, and their associated symptoms.

Having a diverse employee base with a generous number of around 50 women, the initiative by Realty Assistant builds a work culture that understands and appreciates womanhood, and the framing of policies extends the much-needed support to working women from the system, the statement said.
